Administration of the temple The financial position of this temple was not sound in past. At that time, the administration was being looked after by shri Narayan Fonde Kamat, of Kumbarjua. The expenses were being met by contribution from the worshippers. After his death, Shri Odiye was the administrator, on behalf of his widow, Smt. Savitribai Kamat. Thereafter Shri Kamat Panvelkar started looking after the administation. It was decided unanimously later on that the administrator should be chosen by lottery system. Every year, on the day of Vijayadashmi, the draw was being taken and the administrator was being selected. Upto 1731 A.D. Shri Odiye was in charge of the treasury. At that time, it was entrusted jointly to Shri Kamat, of Panvel, Shri Narayan Odiye and Smt. Savitribai Kamat, of Kumbarjua. In the year 1876, the Government promulgated the Devasthan Act and accordingly the administration was to be carried out by a committee of four members duly elected, under the supervision of the Government. This act, with some modifications made later on, is still in force.
